Speaker Profile: Mulemwa Moongwa

Mulemwa Moongwa is a leading personality in the African Meetings landscape, she has nearly two decades of experience as a Meetings Strategist and Industry Educator. Mulemwa has pioneered a career path in the Meetings Industry pursuing learning paths that are not available on the African continent proving that Education remains the greatest equaliser of our time. She boasts a career as an In House Planner for ten years in the Central Bank in her home country Zambia, as well as owing a stamp on numerous high level government to government engagements that have solidified her reputation as the “Meeting Architect”. Today she has pivoted from primarily managing Business Events to becoming a licensee under HelmsBriscoe, the global leader in business travel procurement and site selection for group bookings and events As an industry advocate, she holds various leadership positions that include serving as the immediate past Chairperson of the Zambia Institute for Tourism & Hospitality Studies (2022-2025) , a Board Member at the Zambia Airports Corporation Limited (2025-2028),Founding Vice Chairperson of the Events Professional Association of Zambia, Vice Chairperson of the Council of Events Professionals in Africa (CEPA), Vice Chairperson of the Tourism Council of Zambia and was recently appointed to serve on the African Society of Association Executives(AfSAE). In October 2022, Mulemwa was recognised by the Meetings Professional International (MPI) for her efforts in promoting the Meetings industry in Africa . In June 2025 she was recognised on the year’s most Influential Personalities in the Meetings Industry for for work in industry by the Meetings Today publication in the USA. Mulemwa is the Co-Host for the Africa MICE Summit.
